F.A.Q.'s

1. Does charterCAYMAN have a dedicated pick up/shuttle service?

Unfortunately we don’t. It’s part of being able to offer you more reasonable prices. Check with us if you have a group of 5 or less, we may be able to help you, otherwise you will need to make it to the arranged pick up location on your own.

2. What should I pack for my charter?

A good rule of thumb is pack (or wear) the essentials for a long day at the beach: towels, sunscreen, T-shirt or cover ups, hats and of course swimwear. If you have kids, make sure you bring swim aids (lifejackets are provided) or water-toys and any other special requirements. If you have dietary or other special requirements for your trip, let us know at the time of booking. If you’re not sure, please ask at the time of booking!

3.  Where do charterCAYMAN’s boats leave from?

Where would you like to leave from? We mainly operate in the Seven Mile Beach area and the North Sound, but just let us know where you would like to leave from and we can factor this in to your charter cost. Regular pick up locations include the Cayman Islands Yacht Club, Camana Bay and Morgan’s Harbour. We can also arrange for pick ups from the Kaibo and Rum Point areas for a fee. Click here to see pick up locations on our Map.

4. Can charterCAYMAN accomodate our larger group?

Our boats have a maximum occupancy per boat of 10 people, however we can accomodate larger groups (up to 20 people max). It’s always more comfortable to have fewer people on a boat with you, so if you have a larger group consider the choice of splitting the group between two boats. If you have questions about the size of your group please check with us for our reccommendation.

5. Is there alcohol on board?

charterCAYMAN is not licensed to sell alcohol, however please feel free to bring your own, or arrange with us to stock your boat ahead of time on request.

6. What happens if the weather is bad?

charterCAYMAN’s cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to the pre-arranged charter time. This applies to bad weather equally. If you are unsure of the conditions, please call us prior to that 24 hour period to give yourself time to make a decision. If the weather is bad we will try to make contact with you before your scheduled charter. We will discuss options with you, or if we feel we cannot go out, we will make every effort to reschedule your trip. Click for Our Policy.

7. Do you offer Cruise Ship excursions?

Everyone is welcome to come out with charterCAYMAN! We often have bookings from cruise ship passengers. There is a dock a short taxi ride (10-15 mins) from the cruise ship terminals in down town George Town. Taxis are readily available right outside the terminal. As charterCAYMAN does not run scheduled trip times, we can be flexible with your schedule. You should plan 30 mins each way for transit time in case of traffic to enable you to get back to your terminal and be sure to allow time for tendering. Ask us for more details.
